Succintly Yours- Flash Fiction

I've never done this before, but decided to play this once at least. Using this picture as a prompt, write a story of fewer than 140 words OR 140 characters. I chose 140 characters. Extra "credit" if you include the word "tempt."

Here's my story:

“Don’t tempt me, Joe.”
“Stop muttering while I set this monopod.”
“I warned you... one more morning chasing birds...”
“See it? A blue-footed booby!”
“Goodbye, Joe.”

-----------

The prompt came from Grandma's Goulash

Well, for a blue-footed booby, I'd dump my spouse. They're my favorite birds!

I am thinking Joe doesn't recognize how annoyed his SO is with him

He certainly does seem oblivious to his wife's presence. I liked your take on this and you grabbed those extra points on your first try! Hope you'll be back to play again.

The birds before wife is not a good approach. Good one.

Who's the booby now? Hmmm?

She did give him a fair warning ;-)

Guess he was too interested in the wrong boobies.

LOL First you cracked me up, and then I saw Wendy's booby comment above, and now I'll never stop giggling. Thanks! Love this.

I can't better Wendy's comment :-)

Here is my story:

"Joe, I am going to try and tempt you away! You need to drink this hot coffee and come in the house. The season is over and they closed that nudist beach this past fall!"

That was great and I did laugh at all the booby comments!

I did a similar take on my page about a woman walking away. Hope to see you here again...:)

I hope learned he shouldn't take his spouse for granted. Good one!
